Awarded for published original contributions of special excellence in law. Candidate must have held a degree for at least 5 years before applying. Normally a graduate of University of Otago, or completed substantial work in an academic/research unit of the University. Application requires CV, abstract/description of work, statutory declaration of originality, and later a narrative summary (5000-10000 words) plus entry fee.
