Entry requirements

Admission to Third Stage requires 234 points from First/Second Stage papers, or completion of BA, BTheol, BSc (majoring in Psychology), or BEdStudies, or an equivalent degree plus an approved Māori language and tikanga course. Selection based on academic record, personal suitability, and proven experience in social services; must meet Social Work Registration Act 2003 requirements.

“All applicants whose primary language is not English, Māori or New Zealand Sign Language must demonstrate either: an IELTS score of 7.0 in the academic band (with no band score lower than 7.0), or a TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT) score of 95 or higher with a writing score of 22.”
