Entry requirements

Class 3 learner's licence held; must have held full NZ Class 2 licence for at least 6 months; current driver's medical (unless presented within last 5 years); pass Class 3 Learner theory test; complete 24089 Worktime Logbook and Fatigue within last 12 months; provide Certificate of Loading; own truck/trailer meeting weight requirements (>12,000kg, <25,000kg).

English requirements

IELTS 5.5

“all trainees must demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken English, equivalent to NCEA Level 1 (High School ability to read and write english) or an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher.”
