40 credits at NCEA Level 1 including 10 Literacy and 10 Numeracy credits, or recognised equivalent, OR completion of NZ Certificate in Animal Care (Level 3); must provide a Declaration Record of Criminal History and sign an off-campus learning contract; health and fitness-to-practice declarations required; special admission possible for applicants 20+ who don't meet academic criteria.
