Min. 17 (domestic) or 18 (international) years old; 2 confidential referee reports (not from family/friends); pass Children's Worker Safety Check and Police Vetting; meet Teaching Council English language competency; achieve LNAAT numeracy score of at least 690; meet minimum tertiary entry requirements (University Entrance or equivalent, or relevant work/voluntary experience); arrange supervised work/volunteering at a primary/intermediate school 2 days/week (or 1 day/week part-time).
