Entry requirements

Min 16 yrs (18 for international). Requires NZ Diploma of Teaching (Primary) Level 7, a Bachelor degree Level 7 (360 credits), Bachelor with Honours Level 8 (480 credits), or Master's Level 9 (240 credits), or equivalent. Must provide a written professional reference, pass a personal visual interview, attain Step 5 literacy/numeracy on LNAAT, be assessed at Level 1 Te Aho Arataki Marau, provide NZ Police vetting, and declare any disabilities/diverse needs. International applicants require overseas police certificates.

“Applicants must provide evidence of meeting English language requirements according to the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand's English language proficiency requirements. International applicants must also meet English language requirements according to Rule 22 of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority Programme Approval, Recognition, and Accreditation Rules 2025.”
