Entry requirements

NZ University Entrance: NCEA Level 3 (60 credits at L3, 20 at L2+) incl. 14 credits L3 in English/literacy subject and two other approved subjects, literacy and numeracy requirements; OR NZ Cert in Health & Wellbeing L4; OR equivalent overseas exams; OR NZ Cert in Study and Employment Pathways L4. Plus two referee reports, 500-word personal statement, evidence of social services experience, full driver's licence, police vetting, possible interview.

English requirements

IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.5)

“Overall IELTS 6.5 Academic, 6.5 Listening, 6.5 Reading, 6.5 Writing, 6.5 Speaking. Non-NZ citizens/permanent residents without NZ University Entrance must book PTE Academic or NZQA-approved English test; SWRB requires IELTS 7.0 Academic for registration.”
